ITR GRANDE is a heavy-duty synthetic blend of diesel engine oil. The oil is designed for use in four-stroke engines to meet 2017 model on-highway and Tier 4 non-road exhaust emissions standards.

The lubricant is used in all diesel engines from sulfur content to 500 ppm. Synthetic diesel protects your vehicle’s engine from viscosity loss, oxidation, catalyst poisoning, filter blocking, engine wear, and oil aeration.

What are the Benefits of ITR GRANDE Heavy-Duty Diesel?

The lubricant has the following benefits;

  • Outstanding protection against oxidation.
  • It is a synthetic blend lubricant, hence it lasts longer and performs better in extreme temperatures.
  • Protects the engine from sludge formation.
  • It is a universal product used for a mixed fleet of operations that includes vehicles and industrial and agricultural equipment.
  • It has excellent low-temperature components to help speed up cold starts.
  • The lubricant protects emission control systems.

FAQs

15W-40 is a viscosity grade. It means from the startup in winter the lubricant pours like a 15-weight oil and has 40 in weight protection when the engine is at full operating temperature.

15W-40 has a better viscosity level compared to 15W-30; it holds better in arduous and demanding conditions. 15W-40 also lubricates worn-out and older engines better compared to 15W-30 diesel. However, 15W-30 is suited better for newer engines with tighter tolerances, when not pushed to the limit.

Heavy-duty diesel engine lubricant is formulated for diesel vehicles and non-road machinery operating in high temperatures and sustained high load conditions.

Heavy-duty vehicles are industrial, construction, or agricultural equipment powered by diesel engines and commercial vehicles with over 10,000 pounds of gross vehicle weighting rate (GVWR).

The main differences between 15W-40 and 10W-40 are the viscosity and the temperature ranges of the oil at 100° C or 212° F.

For instance;

  • 10W40 means the lubricant can be used at temperatures not lower than -20°С or -4° F
  • 15W40 is used in temperatures not lower than -15° С or 5° F
  • However, the two diesel lubricants can be used at 40° С or 104° F
  • 15W-40 protects your engine better at higher temperatures since it does not thin as much as 10W-40 lubricant.
