The boiling point of the mixed fluid will differ from that of DOT 3 and DOT. DOT3 has a lower boiling point compared to DOT4.  
Although both DOT 3 and DOT 4 brake fluids are glycol-based, the two have different chemical compositions. Each type is different and has a different effect on the brake system.
